On April 9, 2024, Gendone held a brand strategy upgrade conference. Dr. Yang Libin, Chairman of the Board, reviewed the company’s 19-year journey, highlighting its evolution from specializing in small-proportion premixes in 2004 to becoming the world’s largest supplier and standard-setter for guanidinoacetic acid (GAA). The company unveiled its new mission: “Addressing protein source challenges through functional amino acids,” aiming to fulfill its vision of “enabling global access to high-quality meat, eggs, and dairy.”
Dr. Yang introduced the brand strategy “Systematic Innovation, Precise Delivery,” emphasizing three pillars: the integration of fine chemicals and animal nutrition, collaborative innovation in technology and application scenarios, and tailored alignment of solutions with client needs. To advance this strategy, Gendone established a Functional Amino Acid Research Institute with three specialized centers: Fine Chemicals, Synthetic Biology, and Animal Nutrition. Supported by a GAA production base certified under seven international quality systems, the company exports its products to over 30 countries and regions.
Key announcements included the implementation of the 2024 Zhongguancun Group Standard (currently met exclusively by Gendone’s GAA) and research demonstrating that 1 kg of GAA replaces the nutritional value of 26 kg of corn, 12 kg of soybean meal, and 5 kg of soybean oil, reducing feed costs by over RMB 120 per ton. In collaboration with the National Feed Engineering Technology Research Center, Gendone released the *Guanidinoacetic Acid White Paper* and nutritional data to advance energy efficiency and protein optimization in animal feed.
Academicians Li Defa and Qiao Shiyan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering endorsed Gendone’s innovations and participated in the institute’s inauguration. Over 200 attendees praised the strategic upgrades and breakthroughs as transformative for the livestock industry, with Qiao noting their potential to drive sustainable practices in low-protein feed applications.
